Tim is a second-generation antiques expert and has accrued a lifetime's knowledge of fine furniture having been a member of The British Antique Dealers Association before setting up as an independent consultant some 20 years ago. He has an unerring eye for a genuine piece and is also an expert in assessing restoration requirements having managed a large restoration business. He has helped to create and continues to maintain a number of important private collections in Britain and the US. He is a founding director of Corfield Morris Ltd.
A former director of Sotheby's and an acknowledged expert in English furniture of the 18th and 19th centuries, Daniel oversaw during his tenure at Sotheby's numerous high profile auctions and was involved in the cataloguing and researching of a number of England's greatest country house collections, ideally placing him to advise on authenticity and value. As well as being an active member of The Furniture History Society, Daniel lectures on a number of topics within his field and has worked on a range of publications. He is a founding director of Corfield Morris Ltd.
Having grown up surrounded by antiques at his father's country saleroom, Martyn went on to become a director and head of the Jewellery department at Sotheby's. Here he was closely involved in high-profile sales and exhibitions in London, New York and Geneva. Martyn is a fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and a freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths. Martyn is also a leading authority on antique and modern silver. Emily has become a leading authority on antiques while working for the premiere dealers Devenish, Hyde Park Antiques, and Partridge Fine Arts. She is a noted author on design history, including the monograph The World of Madeleine Castaing (Rizzoli, 2010), a biography of style on the legendary French decorator and antiquaire, and Regency Redux (Rizzoli, 2008), an exploration of neoclassicism in the twentieth century. Emily received her master's degree in fine and decorative arts from Sotheby's Institute of Art in London. She is an adjunct instructor at the Fashion Institute of Technology and a decorative arts member of the Decorators Club.
